SWIM
Satellite stations entirely mark out the circuit;
Colored covered buoys;
Sloped ramp to access the watercourse;
The course is supervised by experienced kayakers (with rope bags and lifebuoy) and qualified lifeguards;
First responder intervention boat with complete equipment (winch, stretcher, etc.);
Scoreboard (time and events);
Display board (water temperature);
Docks.
BIKE
Roads entirely closed to traffic;
Marked out course (cones, direction arrows, turnarounds, signs indicating the number of laps per event);
All intersections are secured with metal fences;
All major and/or critical intersections are secured with security guards with first responder training;
All other intersections are secured by responsible volunteers;
Ambulance on duty (at the junction of Hébert Street and Centennial Avenue);
Marked bypass roads to access downtown (for athletes and spectators);
Marked parking lots and traffic signs;
A team of approximately 50 first responders, including doctors, nurses and paramedics on duty at the course;
Emergency vehicles and permanent first aid unit on site.
