COMPETITIONS

SWIMMING – 375 M

The swimming event will take place in St. François Bay. A 375 m loop will be delimited by buoys.

BIKE – 10 KM

Participants will ride two (2) 5 km laps through the streets of downtown on a flat course for a total of 10 km. For safety reasons, the roads will be closed to traffic.

RUNNING – 2,5 KM

Participants will have to complete one (1) 2.5 km loop on a flat course set within Delpha-Sauvé Park and the Valleyfield Marina.

The top three men and women finishers will be given medals.

The DISCOV3RY (D3) event offers, in addition to the standard Triathlon events, shorter distances for beginners, formerly called Mini-Triathlon or Initiation Triathlon.

These events provide a more comprehensive range of options for participants: for the active family (or those who wish to become active), the Triathlon novice, and the runner, the cyclist, the swimmer seeking the adrenaline of a new challenge. Not to mention the thrill of competing in an open and accessible setting with plenty of opportunities for friends and family.

Simply put, a DISCOV3RY Series event is a Triathlon that offers:

• Distances that are open and accessible to all;
• A guided tour of the race site the day before the event;
• “My first triathlon” training session explaining the main rules and the rules of a Triathlon, conducted by the organizers of the Québec Triathlon.
